Individualized settings allow multiple person to use the computer and retain separate address books and separate inbox and outbox. Outlook Express calls these Identities.
- Once you opened Outlook Express, go to File -> Identities -> Manage identities.
- Click on New, and type in the name of the second person. i.e. Joe Smith.
- Outlook Express will ask you "Do you want to switch to Joe Smith now?" Click on Yes.
- Outlook will restart at this point to setup the profile for the second user.
- Type in your Name in the Display name field: (It might already be there if you just configured the news service but you can change it if you want) Click Next.
- Put a dot next to I already have an email address that I'd like to use. Then type in your email address. It might already be there.
- Click Next.
- You should select POP3 as the incoming mail server.
- Type in mail.thunderstar.net as the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server:
- Type in mail.thunderstar.net or as the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:
- Click Next.
- For Account Name, type in your username also know as login ID. example: your email address is joe@thunderstar.net therefore your POP account is joe.
- Type in your password. Make sure Caps Locks keys are off. Must be in Lowercase. Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- You should be back at the Internet Accounts page.
- Click on Close.
- To switch user profiles, just go to File -> Switch Identities and pick the one you want.
